Short Service Commission (SSC) in Army Medical Corps
Applications are invited from Indian Nationals both male and female who have passed their final MBBS examination for grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) in Army Medical Corps. Applicants for who have taken more than 2 chances in final MBBS need not apply.

Eligibility:Candidates must possess medical qualification. Post Graduate degree holders i.e. MD/MS/MCh/DM may also apply.PG Degree in following subjects will be given preference(a) Anaesthesia(b) Surgery(c) Obstetrics & Gyenaecology(d) Medicine.The applicant must have permanent registration from any State Medical Council/ MCI. Candidates who will be complting internship by the last date of submission of application may also apply.
Age : must not have attained 45 years of age on 31st Dec 2008.
Selection Process: Eligible candidates will be called for interview by a Board of officers by a Board of Officers in the month of Nov/Dec 2008 at Army Hospital (Research & Referral) New Delhi, Near Daula Kuan, Delhi Cantt.
Salary: The candidates on commissioning in Army Dental Corps will be granted the rank of Capt. in the scale of Rs.9450-9600-300-11400 plus rank pay of Rs.400/-. Non-practicing allowance at the rate of 25% of the Basic pay and Dearness Allowance. PG degree holder wil be eligible for PG Allowance of Rs.500/- pm.
Tenure : The tenure is of 5 years extendable by another 5 years (total SSC tenure 10 years) for those who are willing to continue subject to laid down eligibility criteria.
